New Things I love

1) Pinterest: I'm way behind on this trend, but I love Pinterest.  I have been obsessed everyday for the last week with finding new DIY crafts, recipes, gardening ideas, and random "everythings" (fellow Pinner's will know what that means :)).  I really have no reason anymore to check Facebook everyday; it's all about Pinterest!

2) Watching the snow fall.  Not only does it seem like it falls in slow motion, its beautiful for some reason.  It's even BETTER when you have a fire roaring indoors and a hot cup of java next to you.

3) Moose.  Over the course of the last three days, a baby moose and a mama moose have been roaming next to my house.  At first I thought they were horses (that's the naiveness in me) because even the babies are massive!  I had never seem moose up close before and am happy that they decided to venture, eat, and browse around the past few days!

4) Wood burning stoves.  Growing up we always had a fireplace that would heat up only one room in the house.  Once you left that room, the chill in the air would overtake you and send you right back to the fireplace.  Now I have a wood burning stove that not only heats up the entire house, it heats the house to a degree where you can walk around in a t-shirt and shorts.  The other day I got the house heated up to 79 degrees.  It was about 28 degrees outside.  I love wood burning stoves!

A Pre-Valentines Day Note

A while back, more like over a year ago, I moved to Texas and created a blog dedicated to my adventures in the Lone Star State(bekasintexas.blogspot.com).  Needless to say it was a failure; I made one blog post and had one follower, a co-worker within the 10 months of being there.  I have a lot of great memories of Anna, TX, made some really great friends, and miss being there.  I moved to Anna not knowing anyone in the area.  I would've liked to have said, "completely on my own," but I have wonderful extended family in San Antonio.  Looking back, I wish I would've have kept my blog chalk full of the memories, pictures, gossip, and the life I led there, so I would be able to re-visit that part of my life over and over and over again.

So now that I have moved to the Pacific Northwest, and into the magnificent state of Idaho, I have created yet another blog (this blog; bekasidaho) to do what I didn't accomplish with my first blog; to write about and document, I suppose, my life here.  I am starting over, yet again, in a place where I know no one, and hoping to start a life here.  I don't have a job yet, but am searching consistently.  I know God has a plan for me, and am truly excited to be here!
